This talk will provide an overview of IPv6 security and a comparison of the threats to IPv6 and IPv4, considering how attack vectors against IPv4 and IPv6 are the similar and different.The talk will assess key areas in which improvement is needed for the security of IPv6 deployments and implementations to match that of IPv4 deployments and implementations Finally, it will describe ongoing efforts to improve the security of IPv6 implementations. Mr. Gont is currently working on a security assessment of the IPv6 protocol suite, on behalf of the United Kingdom's Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure.
